Heโs always pushed my production to artist , June is low Key an A&R: As time went past , just always tapping in me and Kuul ended up in his car outside his Williamsburg apt , I
played some beats he took a liking too .. We worked bridefly together through Juneโs business 1800-Small-Moves while maintaining a healthy relationship.
During the creating of this tape KUUL had a real hustlers spirit and was extremely confident in his style and his ablity to explain whats going on in his head via paper efforlessly.
He was telling his story as well as tapping into different elements of music theory. Kuul was talking vocal training as well as teaching himself chords and chord progressions.
He also taugh hiself how to play clarinet . We recorded 8 songs in 3 days. He was literally banging verses out as soon as I finished the riddim.
The process was never forced . Even after know each other for some time we still havenโt created together. He took it amongst himself to make a trip to Long Island when we started the beginning of the recording process. Swimming in the pool, cooking food, eating together, hella blunts really building. We drove down south listening to the music while linking with my homie Napoleon Wright II. This was right in the middle of Napoleon and Eye was recoding 919718. We spent some quality time building with each other for the name of the Ep and the visuals we wanted to shoot and how we wanted them to feel. during this drive we became closer comrades. ๐๐๐ถ
